      InterQuad Learning is delighted to announce that it has been appointed, along with five other suppliers, as a preferred supplier for IT training services to the Inland Revenue, the UK's second largest Government department and Her Majesty's Customs & Excise. The framework contract, which commences on 1st July, enables IT training to be delivered to users across both Departments. The framework is also open to other Government Departments.

      BroadSkill, the UK's largest supplier of freelance IT trainers, and Alopeto, a learning solutions provider based in Glasgow, today reported on the successful completion of a European roll-out of desktop training for Nestlé Purina. The challenging project involved training around 3,500 staff in their local language at mainly rural locations spread right across Europe.

    • e-GIF Accreditation Authority Programme awarded to the Institute of IT Training and National Computing Centre

      The Office of the e-Envoy has awarded the contract to establish and operate the e-GIF Accreditation Authority Programme to the National Computing Centre (NCC) and the Institute of IT Training (IITT). Ensuring adherence to the Government's standards for IT interoperability, the e-Government Interoperability Framework (e-GIF), has become more realistic with the establishment of the e-GIF Accreditation Authority.

    • Institute accredits Kent & Medway Learndirect

      Garrie Owens, executive manager of the Kent and Medway learndirect hub, has secured external accreditation - from the Institute of IT Training (IITT) - for some 20 of his learndirect centres, following a pilot project, begun in August last year, which was jointly funded by Learning Skills Council (LSC) and University for Industry (UfI).

      BroadSkill, the UK's largest supplier of freelance IT trainers, has been awarded a major outsourcing contract by Atos Origin to handle all training administration for the company in the UK. Using software from Enterprise Study and in-house resources experienced in managing large training projects, BroadSkill will work with Atos Origin to automate processes and manage around 5,000 course bookings per year.
