The Future of Learning will be the focus of a special 2 day
event featuring best-selling author Malcolm Gladwell (Blink and The
Tipping Point), Nigel Paine, Head of People Development at the BBC,
and Elliott Masie, founder of the Learning CONSORTIUM. Learning
Futures will take place in Dublin, Ireland at Trinity College, July
10-11.
Learning Futures will focus on Global Learning. As the world gets
"flatter", the way in which organizations train their employees and
distribute knowledge changes rapidly. As we enter the age of
Fingertip Knowledge, our learning shifts from classrooms to Google,
from "sages on the stage" to more collaborative forms of learning.
The topics to be addressed at Learning Futures include
Globalization of Learning, Mobile and Device Learning, Gaming for
Learning, Analytics and Metrics for Learning, Open Source, Learning
Disrupters, The Changing Learning Marketplace, New Roles and
Functions for Learning Professionals, and many more!
Senior Human Resource Executives, Training Managers and key
business leaders from around the world will be participating in
this small conference, aimed at preparing organizations for a
changing workforce and changing economy. Learning Futures is hosted
by Elliott Masie's Learning CONSORTIUM, a coalition of 227 global
organizations, including BP, Bank of America, Cathay Pacific,
Emirates Airlines and Ericsson.
"Learning Futures will bring together corporate executives to
discuss and plan for the changing workplace. We are excited to host
Learning Futures at Trinity College. It is only fitting that we
meet in one of the oldest educational campuses to discuss
tomorrow's learning models and approaches," said Elliott Masie, the
host of this event.
